This is an imagined tableau, built with real moments. I was looking to communicate the crossing from individual to general, from concrete to abstract, from magical to religious, through the human universe. My project is based on the connection people have to the places where they were born, spaces they are attached to like trees are, through their roots. I was born in an isolated mountain village, and I tried to capture through these pictures what I felt when I left that place. I chose moments from daily life, and I added elements that I felt were connected to the ideas of space and time, of memory and amnesia.
